A large trusted Travel Brand based in London (SE) have an exciting opportunity for a Delegate Sales Executive to join their Marketing & Events team.

Purpose of Role:

The sales executive will sell delegate places across the company portfolio of conferences, events and training. You will ensure that targets for delegate acquisition are reached, by converting incoming delegate leads and acquiring new customers.

This is a permanent, office-based role as part of a busy and growing Conferences and Events department in London Bridge. We offer a supportive and friendly working environment, an attractive salary package and commission.

Duties:

1.Telesales campaigns

*Develop a solid understanding of each allocated event in order to provide a knowledgeable and responsive sales pitch to clients.
*Actively research and seek new leads for delegate sales, source contacts, leads and networks in new markets.
*A high volume of calls to a targeted audience in order to promote the event and secure the number and type of delegate.

2.Data acquisition and management

*To undertake targeted data acquisition and data management activities to maximise the reach of the Conference and Events marketing campaigns.
*Contact company Members and the wider travel community to ensure they are aware of company Conferences and Events.
*Encourage customers to opt in to company events database and select their preferences.
*Ensure that data is continually maintained and refreshed in line with the company data protection policies.
*To cleanse and manage data, where it is known that data is not active.
*Work in collaboration with the Data Insights Team to ensure quality of data and to adhere to the company data strategy.

3.Team work

*Work closely with the events marketing team to ensure targets for delegate acquisition are met.
*Attend and contribute to events team meetings.
*Work closely with wider events team and other Departments to ensure targets are met.



4.Targets

*Meet agreed call, sales and data entry targets.

5.Customer service

*Assist customers with their bookings, manage customer enquiries in the run up to an event.
*Account manage a range of contacts including existing contacts and past delegates, providing information about upcoming events, including the content, discounts, multiple events.

6.Email campaigns

*Construct and send out emails to promote events to a targeted list of contacts.

7. Administration

*CRM database management.
*Booking administration and invoice chasing.

8.Other

*To liaise with wider teams as required, including Member Engagement.
*To keep up to date with current Travel Industry issues.
*To develop a working knowledge of Travel Industry events and associations.
*Occasional travel may be required i.e. Annual Convention, meetings, events.
*Any other duties in keeping with this role

Skills and Experience:

Experience
*A least 2 years' work experience in a professional organisation
*Good educational qualifications (university degree or technical qualification)
*Sales experience (desirable), experience of meeting targets (essential)
*Experience of working in the travel industry or events (desirable).

Skills
*Confident communicator both over the phone and in emails.
*Self-motivated and autonomous worker.
*Commercially minded.
*Competent IT skills (good Microsoft Office, previous use of CRM database).


Salary & Working Hours:

This is a Monday - Friday position, offering an extremely competitive salary, plus commission.
