We have an amazing opportunity for an experience/enthusiastic Business Development Manager to join one the UK's leading Charity Adventure Travel companies.

Summary of Role:

1.As Business Development Manager you are expected to drive growth in annual participant registrations. As the most experienced member of sales and business development staff within a small and dynamic London team, you'll be expected to account manage a number of university campuses across the UK and Ireland, working closely with student Leaders and our partner charities to recruit as many challenge participants as possible.

2.The second key area of responsibility will be to grow and develop our participant numbers in the wider challenge market in the UK and Ireland by building relationships with corporate and non-profit organisations and helping them deliver awesome bespoke trips for their staff or supporters.

3.The third key area of focus is developing and delivering a standardised campus sales process in collaboration with the various Charity Partners to maximise the number of people who register for our trips - and therefore maximise the amount of money raised for good causes by our partners.

The role is predominantly office based but is ideally suited to someone who is happy travelling extensively within the UK and Ireland and who enjoys sales account management.

Essential Experience:

*At least three years previous professional experience of either B2B or B2C sales in a face-to-face environment
*Building and maintaining professional relationships
*Working in a small team to meet targets
*Completed at least one overseas challenge event and/or marathon event OR previous experience of working within campus promo/marketing
*Good understanding of a diverse range of sales and marketing techniques

Essential knowledge:

*University degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent
*The principles of selling and an overview of sales processes
*Understanding of the challenge event market in the UK and student-led fundraising

*Excellent spreadsheet and word-processing skills
*Excellent written and oral communication skills
*Ability to Influence others
*Creating and maintaining effective working relationships
*Enthusiastic and outgoing personality

*Passion for running and/or adventure travel
