Are you an experienced Airline Yield/ Aviation Executive looking for a new opportunity within the travel industry? Do you have experience using GDS? Would you like to be part of the team in a reputable well known tour operator? If yes this is definitely the role for you!! A leading, worldwide tour operator is looking to recruit an experienced Aviation Executive to work within a dedicated team to control and manage the airline inventory within a dedicated portfolio of tours in their Leicestershire offices. Job Description
*Build & maintain good working relationship with airlines and external suppliers.
*Issue flight tickets accurately and in line with the airline agreement.
*Cost control of the aviation component on a portfolio of tours.
*Work with airlines; primarily through GDS queue management as well as relevant internal departments to ensure any changes post procurement, such as airfare or schedule changes are flagged & completed via the cost amends process
*Working with agreed financial limits and to tight deadlines to avoid penalties for not releasing unused flight inventory back to airlines.
*Queue management including changes, inventory release and ticketing
*Work closely with the Tour Managers department to ensure that a seat is held for a Tour Manager where required, at the most cost effective price.
*Careful planning and adherence to strict deadlines in managing seat inventory across a portfolio of tours
*Management of airline seat lifecycles for a selection of tours.
*Input into future planning in tandem with commercial manager.

Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of yield and airlines with a great understanding of GDS within the travel industry.
1-2 years GDS experience ( preferably Amadeus)
Minimum of 2 years' experience in understanding aviation processes
Knowledge of airline routes, operating guidelines and airline specific contract interpretation

This is a full time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week during the core hours of the business from 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
